Oscar Gutierrez (born 11 December 1974) is a Mexican American professional wrestler best known by his ring name Rey Mysterio. He is signed with WWE Raw on the competing brand. Gutierrez was trained by his uncle Rey Mysterio Sr. and early on in Mexico, where he wrestled the high-flying Lucha Libre style, who learned his trade mark.
Gutierrez worked originally for Asistencia AsesorÃa y Administración (AAA) in Mexico, 1992 to 1995. He wrestled in Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) from 1995 to 1996 and World Championship Wrestling (WCW) from 1996 to 2001, as Rey Mysterio, Jr. / Rey Mysterio, Jr. did, but the "junior" from its name when he to begin working for WWE in 2002.
